Enable and Manage Passwords & Form-fill in Edge browser on Windows 10

Microsoft Edge browser lets you remember and manage passwords in Windows 10. Although the feature is pretty basic, it is good enough and meets the purpose. Like most browsers, Edge also supports Form-fill. This feature remembers your oft-filled information and offers to fill the web forms automatically for you.


Enable Passwords & Form-fill in Microsoft Edge

To enable Passwords and Form-fill and manage saved passwords:


STEP 1: Open the Microsoft Edge browser


STEP 2: In the lower right side, you will see the settings option. Click that.


STEP 3: Now, do to the profile and select Passwords.



Here you can find many options. Some of them are:

  1. Offer to save passwords: If you disable this option, your browser won’t show the Save passwords message that appears after you enter a username and password on a website.

  2. Sign in automatically

  3. Saved passwords: It shows all the saved passwords.

  4. Never saved.

STEP 4: Simply toggle the slider for ‘Offer to save passwords' to the ‘On‘ position to enable passwords & Form-fill in the browser.




Edit or Remove passwords in Edge

If you wish to manage the passwords, just below the ‘Offer to save passwords’ section, you’ll see the ‘Saved Passwords‘ panel. Here you will see the list of websites for which Edge has saved your login username and passwords.


STEP 1: To edit it or remove passwords saved for a website, go to 'settings' and select 'passwords'.


STEP 2: Now, you will the list of passwords.


STEP 3: Here, whichever password you want to edit or delete, click on the three dots (...) next to the password you want to delete or edit.


STEP 4: Follow the instruction and fill in the credentials if required.
