OnePlus 9RT Roundup: Release date, expected price in India, Design, Specifications

OnePlus 9RT is set to launch in India on January 14th, 2022. It will arrive as a premium flagship offering from the brand and will replace the existing OnePlus 9R in the same price segment. The handset already debuted in China last year and the Indian variant had appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform earlier this week. It comes with Snapdragon 888 5G SoC, a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging, and Android 12 OS out of the box. Now that the launch is inching close, here’s a quick look at the OnePlus 9RT expected price in India, specifications and design.

The OnePlus 9RT 5G is expected to cater to the price segment of between Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000. There will be multiple memory/storage variants and the base version is expected to start at around Rs 40,000.

To recall, the OnPlus 9’s price in India is set at Rs 49,999 for the base model, while the OnePlus 9R 5G costs Rs 39,999.

Release date

OnePlus 9RT launch date in India is January 14th, 2022. The OnePlus Buds Z2 will also tag along on the same stage. The handset originally debuted in China back in October.


OnePlus 9RT design is almost similar to most OnePlus phones these days. It has a punch-hole cutout on the top-left corner for the selfie snapper and narrow bezels but with flat edges.

The volume rocker is on the left spine, while the power button and alert slider are on the right. The handset has a rectangular housing on the back to accommodate triple camera sensors and an LED flash. There is the OnePlus logo on the back.

The OnePlus 9RT will have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The USB Type-C port, SIM tray section, and speaker grills are at the bottom.
