This configuration assists users in reviewing problems and solutions on web applications and servers in central administration. This helps in resolving issues on our server and on your web applications pertaining to security, performance, configuration and availability.
How?
Let’s open Central Admin of SharePoint on your machine. On your Windows desktop screen, click Start >> Administrative Tools >> SharePoint 2013 Central Administration.
Run it as an administrator to have elevated privileges.
You will see the screenshot given below.
Central Admin is configured under the categories given above.
Click on "Monitoring".
Go to "Monitoring".
Click on “Review problems and solutions” under Health Analyzer..
You will see the screen below.
Configure
The problems are distinguished in 4 components, Security, Performance, Configuration and Availability.
These issues are reported by the framework and help you to monitor the issue before it crashes down. Hence it’s very important as it saves your effort to locate the issue and not only that it also helps you to fix it.
You too can log in an issue and the health Analyzer will help you to resolve it.
How?
Click on New Item, the form will open as below.
Title Provide a title to your issue.Severity Choose one
Category Choose a category
Explanation Provide an explanation of your issue.
Remedy Provide the Steps which may be taken to resolve the issue.
Failing Servers Provide the servers where the health analyzer is failing.
Failing Services Provide the services where the health analyzer is failing.
Rule Settings Provide the web application where the issue is reproducing.
a. Once configured click on OK.
b. Click on the issue from the view.
c. You will see the screen below.
d. Click on Reanalyze Now, the health analyzer will run and see if the issue still exists or if it is resolved.
e. It will provide you with a clear picture of what is the cause of the issue.
This configuration helps you to have a health analysis of the web application and assists you to resolve issues manually and automatically as a process.
