Tandoori Tofu Pizza – Extremely Easy Indian Tofu Pizza

Tandoori Tofu Pizza made using naan bread, firm tofu, veggies, and Indian tandoori spices. Extremely delicious, flavourful and can be made using any base like naan, bread, etc.

Tandoori Tofu Pizza

The temperatures are rising every day and we are looking at easy yet delicious meal for the entire family. This Tandoori Tofu Pizza or Tofu Pizza (as many would like to call it) checks both the need plus it can be made in the oven, air fryer, or stovetop.

Yup, this makes it extremely doable as on any given day as most of the things are easily available in everyone’s house.

We are using very basic veggies and you can add or remove any of them as per your choice. 

Tandoori Tofu Pizza Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Thick Chopped Firm Tofu 

  • 4 Cooked Naan

  • 1 Large Onion – thinly chopped 

  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Sweet Peppers (you can use green bell peppers/capsicum)

  • 1 Jalapeno – thinly chopped

  • 1/2 Cup Sweet Corn

  • 1 Tbsp Red Chili Flakes

  • 2 Tbsp Tandoori Masala

  • 1 Tsp Italian Seasoning (optional)

  • Salt – as per taste

  • Red Chili Powder – optional

  • 3 Tbsp Ketchup

  • 1 Tsp Chili Sauce

  • 1 Cup Cheese – you can use any cheese of choice (or vegan option)

How to Make Tofu Pizza:

  1. In a bowl, add ketchup, chili sauce, tandoori masala, salt, pepper, and whisk everything.

  2. Add chopped Paneer, mix everything using a form (making sure the mix coats each tofu cube). Keep aside.

  3. In another bowl, add chopped onion, bell peppers/sweet peppers, corn, Italian seasoning, salt, and cheese. Mix everything and keep aside.

  4. Take the cooked naan, add 2-3 tbsp tofu mix.

  5. Add 2 tbsp of veggie mix.

  6. (You could add more cheese if you like).

  7. Follow the steps below to cook using the medium you like (baked, Air Fryer, or Stovetop).

Tofu Pizza – Extremely Easy Indian Tofu Pizza

Stovetop Tandoori Tofu Pizza:

  1. Take a thick base or dutch style pan/pot.

  2. Heat on medium flames for 7-8 minutes till the pot is hot.

  3. Place the prepped pizza in the middle of the pan and add a lid.

  4. Cook on low-medium heat for 8-10 minutes (or till the cheese is melted).

  5. Remove and cook all the pizza similarly.

  6. Slice and serve immediately.

Baked Tandoori Tofu Pizza:

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 F.

  2. Place the prepped naan pizza on a baking tray and spray with oil.

  3. Bake for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Remove from oven, sprinkle some seasoning on top.

Air Fryer Tofu Pizza:

  1. Preheat the air fryer at 180 F.

  2. Remove the air fryer basket, place prepped naan pizza (1-2).

  3. Air Fry for 10 minutes.

  4. Remove, slice, and serve.

Serving Suggestions:

  1. I like to pair this with a crisp white wine (for the afternoon) or pinot for dinner.

  2. This also goes perfectly with sweet cocktails/mocktails.
